Measurements of the temperature dependence of the electrical resistivity of sodium and potassium give $\ensuremath{\rho}={\ensuremath{\rho}}_{0}+A{T}^{n}$, with $n=2.0\ifmmode\pm\else\textpm\fi{}0.1$ below 2.1 K for sodium and below 1.4 K for potassium, where ${\ensuremath{\rho}}_{0}$ is the residual resistivity. It was found that $A$ is sample dependent, varying linearly with ${(\frac{{\ensuremath{\rho}}_{d}}{{\ensuremath{\rho}}_{0}})}^{2}$, where ${\ensuremath{\rho}}_{d}$ is the contribution to ${\ensuremath{\rho}}_{0}$ arising from electron-dislocation scattering.
