This paper describes our study to develop a system to personalize broadcasting content using the Internet. In the system, the broadcaster provides additional content for personalization via the Internet, which is synchronized with the broadcasting program on air. The receiver combines both types of content to generate a personalized presentation. As a primary implementation, we developed a fundamental system architecture and prototyped a personalization service that offers multi-language subtitles.
