The study compares scores from the WISC and PPVT given in individual administration to 406 children ages 6 to 13. Means and percentile scores on both tests were computed for each age level. The PPVT appeared to yield slightly higher IQ scores although the differences were significant only at ages eight and nine. All possible inter-correlations of the WISC subscales and the PPVT were computed. The PPVT appeared to correlate about as highly with the Performance and Verbal scales as these two scales correlate with each other. Except for averaging one to three points higher at some age levels, the PPVT appears to be quite comparable to the WISC.
