Abstract

-glucopyranoside, IL-12 p40, IL-6Inflammatory responses, initiated by the invasion of patho-gens or by tissue injury caused by free radicals, are a seriesof vascular and cellular reactions. Some important chemicalmediators of inflammation are interleukin (IL)-1, -6, -12,and tumor necrosis factor-α, prostaglandins, etc… IL-6 haspro- and anti-inflammatory properties. IL-6 is involved notonly in the activation of the immune system but also inregenerative process as well as in the regulation of meta-bolism.
