The syndrome of Nonverbal Learning Disabilities (NLD) is characterized by a specific set of neuropsychological assets and deficits. This presentation will review these, and will focus on the syndrome of NLD as a phenotype evident in a wide variety of types of pediatric neurological disease, disorder, and dysfunction. The formal learning (e.g., academic) and informal learning (e.g., psychosocial) consequences of the syndrome will be reviewed.
