Team teaching is a growing practice at the K-12 level and one that needs to be addressed in teacher preparation programs. In this article, we analyze our experience team teaching two courses at the university level. Using our reflections as well as those of our students, we examine the differences in our team teaching of these courses. We identify context, content, and learner factors that influenced our team teaching. Finally, we make suggestions for improving university level team teaching and for supporting preservice teachers' learning to team teach in K-12 settings.
