Superconducting thin films with a single Tl 2 Ba 2 Ca 2 Cu 3 O x (2223) phase were fabricated on MgO(100) substrates using excimer laser ablation and post annealing. The films had a highly c -axis-oriented structure and showed zero resistance at 122 K. Diamagnetism also appeared at 122 K and a 95% transition was achieved at 110 K. The critical current density of the film at 77 K was 1.5×10 5 A/cm 2 at 0 T.
