Structure analysis of underivatized phospholipids by negative ion fast atom bombardment mass spectrometry

Abstract

It is shown that by fast atom bombardment using a special sample preparation technique, negative ion mass spectra of underivatized phospholipids can be obtained which allow an identification of the fatty acid pattern as well as of the residue bound to the phosphoric aicd.
