The modification of a Cary model 81 Raman spectrophotometer for use with a laser

Abstract

The modification of a mercury arc type Cary 81 Raman spectrophotometer for use with a laser exciting source is described and sample spectra presented. Optimization of the matching of laser focus to collector lens to monochromator optics is considered theoretically, and supporting experimental measurements are given.
