ABSTRACT RESISTANCE to airflow of two varieties of canola: Tobin (Brassica campestris) and Westar {B. napus), was measured in the laboratory. Size of seed and moisture content affected the airflow resistance, but only slightly. Method of filUng the container had far more influence; a sprinkle fill, as would be achieved by a grain spreader produced much denser packing than a poured fill and more than doubled the airflow resistance.
