The ALIA/ASLA Policy Advisory Group has completed the formulation of Standards of professional excellence for teacher-librarians. Professional knowledge, professional practice and professional commitment are the three areas that the standards are divided into and the aim is to produce a set of benchmarks that are achievable for those who aspire to excellence within the profession.
