The research conceptualized organizational climate as a mediator between transformational leadership and innovative work behavior. The research was carried out on a purposively selected sample of 320 managers from Fast Moving Consumer Goods organizations from all over Pakistan. Multifactor Leadership Questionnaire (Bass and Avolio, 1995), Innovative Work Behaviour Questionnaire (Zaman, 2006), and Open System Model and Rational Goal Model subscales of Organization Climate Measure (Patterson et al., 2005) were used to assess the constructs of the present study. Multiple/hierarchical regression analyses were used to test the hypothesized relationship. Results revealed partial mediating role of open system model and fully mediating role of rational goal model of organizational climate in relationship between transformational leadership and innovative work behavior. Implications of these findings are discussed and suggestions have been made for future research.
