Mobile Collaboration Tool for University Education

Abstract

This paper describes the implementation of a collaborationtool for learning groups. The tool is embedded in ane-learning and m-learning environment at the University ofRegensburg, which allows its functions to be accessed notonly from a webbrowser but also from a personal digitalassistant (PDA) or any phone which supports the wirelessapplication protocol (WAP). In addition to the implementation,this paper also discusses the advantages of learninggroups and the benefits gained by supporting them in mobilescenarios.
