Zonal Isolation

Zonal Isolation is a well integrity condition in which discrete geological formations and annular intervals along a wellbore are hydraulically segregated by engineered barriers (typically casing and cement) so as to prevent unintended fluid flow or pressure communication between zones or to the surface.
