Tactile-based Shape Estimation

Tactile-Based Shape Estimation is a computational method that infers the three-dimensional geometry of objects through the analysis of tactile sensor data obtained via physical interaction, distinguishing itself from vision-based or proprioception-driven approaches by relying exclusively on force, pressure, and deformation measurements to reconstruct shape.
