Sulfotransferase Activity

Sulfotransferase Activity is a biochemical process in which sulfotransferase enzymes catalyze the transfer of a sulfate group from a donor molecule, typically 3'-phosphoadenosine-5'-phosphosulfate (PAPS), to a substrate, thereby increasing its water solubility for excretion during phase II conjugation reactions.
