Substrate-mediated Activation

Substrate-Mediated Activation is a biochemical mechanism in which the binding of a substrate to an enzyme induces a conformational change that enhances the enzyme's catalytic activity, distinguishing it from other forms of enzyme activation by directly linking activation to substrate binding rather than allosteric effectors or covalent modifications.
