Stability Under Constraints

Stability Under Constraints is a thermodynamic stability criterion that characterizes the resistance of a system to spontaneous change when subjected to specific limitations on its variables, such as fixed volume, temperature, or particle number, thereby distinguishing it from unconstrained stability conditions by incorporating the effects of imposed physical or mathematical restrictions on the system’s equilibrium state.
