Scoring Error

Scoring Error is a measurement discrepancy in the assigned score of a constructed-response item or performance task that arises from inconsistencies in scoring criteria interpretation, rater judgment, or application of the analytic scoring rubric, distinguishing it from other sources of assessment error by its direct relation to the decomposition of performance into defined traits or dimensions.
