Root Exudate Allelopathy
Root Exudate Allelopathy is a form of allelopathic interaction in which phytotoxic compounds released specifically through plant root exudation inhibit the growth or development of neighboring plants or soil organisms, distinguishing it from other allelopathic pathways by its exclusive reliance on root-derived chemical emissions into the rhizosphere.
