Queer Close Reading

Queer Close Reading is a methodological framework within literary and cultural analysis that attends to textual details with the aim of uncovering, interrogating, and deconstructing normative assumptions about gender and sexuality, distinguishing itself from traditional close reading by centering queer theoretical perspectives and foregrounding ambivalence, performativity, and the subversion of heteronormative narratives.
