Pre-replication Complex Assembly

Pre-Replication Complex Assembly is a molecular process in which the origin recognition complex, Cdc6, Cdt1, and the minichromosome maintenance complex sequentially bind to replication origins during the G1 phase of the cell cycle, thereby licensing chromosomal sites for a single round of DNA replication by enabling the subsequent recruitment and activation of replication factors.
