Parental Responsibility

Parental Responsibility is a legal doctrine within family law that designates the aggregate of rights, duties, powers, and obligations vested in an individual to care for a child, make decisions concerning the child’s upbringing, and act in the child’s best interests, distinguishing it from mere custody or guardianship by encompassing the full scope of legal authority and accountability for the child’s welfare.
