Notch Interactions
Notch Interactions is a cell-cell signaling mechanism characterized by direct physical communication between adjacent cells through the binding of transmembrane Notch receptors to ligands of the Delta-Serrate-Lag2 family, initiating proteolytic cleavage and nuclear translocation of the receptor’s intracellular domain to regulate gene expression in developmental and homeostatic processes.
