Noncoding RNA Processing is a subset of RNA processing that encompasses the post-transcriptional biochemical mechanisms by which primary transcripts of non-protein-coding RNAs are cleaved, chemically modified, trimmed, folded, assembled with proteins, and selectively degraded to generate and regulate functional noncoding RNA species.
