Mcdonnell Douglas Framework

The McDonnell Douglas Framework is a legal evidentiary framework in employment discrimination law that establishes a burden-shifting paradigm to evaluate claims of disparate treatment by requiring plaintiffs to present a prima facie case of discrimination, thereby creating a presumption of liability that the employer must then rebut with legitimate, non-discriminatory justifications.
