Marker-assisted Pyramiding
Marker-Assisted Pyramiding is a plant breeding strategy that integrates molecular markers to simultaneously assemble multiple favorable alleles or quantitative trait loci (QTLs) into a single genotype, thereby distinguishing it from conventional or single-gene marker-assisted selection by enabling the co-introgression of genetically linked or functionally complementary traits for enhanced stress tolerance or agronomic performance.
