Magnetite
Magnetite is a ferrimagnetic iron oxide mineral belonging to the class of magnetic oxides, distinguished by its inverse spinel crystal structure and stoichiometric formula Fe₃O₄, which exhibits exceptional electrical conductivity and magnetic properties due to the equitable distribution of Fe²⁺ and Fe³⁺ ions across octahedral and tetrahedral sites.
