Luminal Lineage Commitment
Luminal Lineage Commitment is a developmental specification process in mammary stem cell biology in which a multipotent mammary epithelial progenitor cell undergoes lineage restriction to adopt a luminal epithelial cell fate, distinguished from myoepithelial lineage commitment by its activation of luminal-specific gene expression programs and dependence on signaling pathways such as Notch and GATA3.
