Ligand-directed Uptake

Ligand-Directed Uptake is a cellular drug uptake mechanism in which the selective internalization of therapeutic agents into target cells is mediated by the specific binding of a ligand to a cognate receptor on the cell surface, thereby enabling receptor-mediated endocytosis distinct from passive diffusion or nonspecific uptake processes.
