Isobaric Tagging

Isobaric Tagging is a quantitative proteomics method that belongs to the class of mass spectrometry-based labeling techniques, distinguished by the use of isobaric chemical tags that label peptide termini with reporter groups of identical mass but yield distinct reporter ions upon fragmentation in tandem mass spectrometry, enabling multiplexed relative quantification of proteins across multiple biological samples simultaneously.
