Immune Response

Immune Response is a coordinated set of cellular, molecular, and physiological processes executed by the immune system in reaction to the recognition of self versus non-self or altered-self antigens, thereby activating and regulating innate and adaptive effector mechanisms to eliminate or contain pathogens, malignant cells, and other threats to tissue integrity and homeostasis.
