Image Parameter Theory

Image Parameter Theory is a theoretical framework within the study of two-port networks that characterizes network behavior based on the image impedances and propagation constants derived from the network’s open-circuit and short-circuit parameters, distinguishing itself by enabling the analysis and design of cascaded network sections through invariant image parameters.
