About

Edge computing is a distributed computing paradigm that brings computation and data storage closer to the location where data is generated or consumed. As a research field, it investigates architectures, resource management, security, and application deployment strategies for these localized, heterogeneous environments, characterized by low latency and reduced reliance on centralized cloud infrastructure, thereby enabling real-time processing and supporting the proliferation of edge devices.
