Correlation Allowance

Correlation Allowance is an empirical correction term in ship resistance prediction that is added to the extrapolated model-scale resistance coefficient to account systematically for the average discrepancy between model test results and full‑scale ship resistance, primarily due to differences in hull surface condition, Reynolds number effects, and other scale‑dependent phenomena.
