Container Integrity
Container Integrity is the engineering principle that characterizes the ability of a waste containment system to maintain its physical and chemical barriers against radionuclide release over time, particularly through resistance to corrosion, mechanical degradation, and environmental stressors, thereby ensuring isolation of low-level radioactive waste within engineered barrier systems.
