Central Hudson Test

The "Central Hudson Test" is a four-part judicial framework within administrative law that determines the constitutionality of government restrictions on commercial speech by assessing whether the speech concerns lawful activity and is not misleading, whether the asserted governmental interest is substantial, whether the regulation directly advances that interest, and whether the regulation is no more extensive than necessary.
