Cell-encapsulating Materials
Cell-Encapsulating Materials is a class of biocompatible polymeric or hydrogel matrices that serve as protective microenvironments by immobilizing living cells while permitting the diffusion of nutrients and therapeutic molecules, distinguished from other biomaterials by their capacity to maintain cellular viability and function within implantable or microfluidic BioMEMS devices.
