Caracterización de jóvenes primera generación en educación superior. Nuevas trayectorias hacia la equidad educativa.

Abstract

This work addresses the phenomenon of "first generation" young students by comparing their paths in order to identify factors making that phenomenon possible and its consequences on students. Data used in this research were obtained by monitoring several students from their second year in high school in 2003 through 2009. It also includes information coming from Ministry of Education's administrative data. Finally, it recommends some policies that would contribute to reach more equity in the educational system through students' paths.
