This study evaluated the shared-use arrow as a visual cue to the existence of upstream bicyclists on a wide outside lane (also known as a wide curb lane) and as a means of drawing bicyclists off of adjacent sidewalks and onto the roadway. Information is provided on arrow design and placement and on the results of a before and after evaluation in Gainesville, Florida.
