Abstract

This meeting was held in Las Vegas, Nevada in Oct. 1985 for the purpose of providing a forum for exchange of information on photovoltaic technology. Attention was focused on amorphous silicon and high efficiency silicon developments. For example, the development of a new amorphous silicon superlattice solar cell with a conversion efficiency of 10.4% was announced. Another important issue of interest was the realization that gallium arsenide solar cells offer plenty of potential for space and terrestrial concentrator technology.
