Abstract

Chemical methods for the determination of aspartic acid are similar to those used for glutamic acid. The most accurate values recorded for pure proteins are those of Rittenberg and Foster (2), Chibnall and coworkers (3, 4), Cannan (5), and Kibrick (6).Comparable values have been obtained by the microbiological method of assay here described.EXPERIMENTAL
