Near-infrared light-activatable iridium(<scp>iii</scp>) complexes for synergistic photodynamic and photochemotherapy

Abstract

NIR activatable, self-degradable iridium( iii )–dithiocarbamate–cyanine complexes were synthesized. They act as type I and type II PDT agent at ultra-low-power irradiation and at high laser power, they exhibited photoactivated chemotherapy (PACT).
