Student recognition of interference and diffraction patterns: An eye-tracking study

Abstract

An eye tracking study shows that the recognition of interference and diffraction patterns is demanding for high school physics students, suggesting that instruction should pay attention to helping students observe and understand basic wave optics phenomena.
