Abstract

Luteolin showed distinct antibacterial activity against <i>T. pyogenes</i> by multiple actions, which mainly include destroying the integrity of the cell wall and cell membrane, influencing the expression of proteins, inhibiting nucleic acid synthesis, and interfering with energy metabolism.
