This work in progress full paper will provide the details for integrating mixed reality (MR) Head-Mounted Displays (HMD) into laboratory experiments for online electrical and computer engineering (ECE) students resulting in a system related to the Innovative Practice Category. The goals for this research is to provide a virtual substitute for expensive high-performance test equipment while providing the online student with the same laboratory experience including physical circuit construction and troubleshooting capabilities. A very low-cost measurement system, including a custom breadboard, was developed to quickly identify how the student wired the circuit and the expected performance is then displayed on the virtual oscilloscope.
