This paper presents a formative measurement model of user experience (UX). The study took place in the context of conducting several UX experiments with users of a mobile cloud-based app called Jaxber in several higher education institutions in Finland and France. The applied UX model is an instantiation of a holistic conceptual model created in an E.U. research project. The resulting instantiated model was operationalized in the form of a survey instrument and administered among users of the mobile app. The final model with empirically established reliability, validity, and goodness of fit suggests that BUSINESS, HUMAN and SOCIAL dimensions, all positively influence INTENTION to USE. Determining the predictive characteristics of the model is beyond the scope of this paper.
