<i>π-</i>plasmon dispersion in free-standing graphene by momentum-resolved electron energy-loss spectroscopy

Abstract

This paper reports an experimental observation of the square root q behavior of $\ensuremath{\pi}$-plasmons in free-standing graphene. The authors used very high resolution EELS measurements to be able to probe plasmonic excitations in the long wavelength limit.
