Synthesis of potentially antiviral cyclopropyl nucleosides

Abstract

Novel rigid cyclopropyl nucleosides have been prepared. The thymine heterocycle was created through a novel mild mercuricyclization reaction or coupled with a selectively trisubstituted cyclopropane ring.
