Anticonvulsant and antiepileptogenic effects of system xc− inactivation in chronic epilepsy models

Abstract

Inhibition of system <mml:math xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML"><mml:msubsup><mml:mi>x</mml:mi><mml:mrow><mml:mi>c</mml:mi></mml:mrow><mml:mo>-</mml:mo></mml:msubsup></mml:math> could be an attractive target for the development of new therapies with a potential for disease modification in epilepsy.
